The objective of this module is to introduce students to environmental issues and provide an in-depth understanding of the complexities and influence that the built environment causes on the environment.

Research Report
In this assignment, groups of 6-8 members are to write a research paper and presentation based on the given theme with a minimum of 5000 and a maximum of 7000 words. Students are to analyze and extract important ideas from the themes and research the particular topic highlighting the relationship between the theoretical ideas and the selected works.

Exploring local architecture or Built Environment responses to specific SDG goals and targets
For this project, students are to select a building and identify the SDG goals that they want to explore in relation to the built environment. Students are to extract features of the building which correlate to the SDG targets, indicators, and goals they have selected. The data are to be portrayed in an A3 size research poster.
